We feel hugely privileged to have partnered with Aqua Platinum on a project to design and build a glamorous basement swimming pool with spa facilities for St William Homes’ development at Prince of Wales Drive, London. This exciting project, undertaken in collaboration with the Berkeley Group, is for a brand-new collection of beautiful one, two, and three-bedroom apartments just a short distance from the river Thames and within range of Battersea Park, one of London’s favorite green spaces. With Sloane Square also within two kilometers, these apartments are ideally located for residents to enjoy all that the city has to offer.

Set among around a hectare of beautifully landscaped gardens, the spacious apartments offer a premium specification and distinctive interior design. The luxury spa facilities, designed by leading architecture practice Scott Brownrigg, include a 17-meter swimming pool with a sauna and steam room, a vitality pool with warm jets, a large separate gym, and multiple treatment rooms. The project won “Commercial Pool Project of the Year” at the 2019 UK Pool & Spa Awards, and it will be the perfect place for residents to unwind.

The specially designed sauna is made from alder and painted with a special black sauna wax. The materials used include 15 mm x 140 mm wall and ceiling panels (profile STS4), 28 mm x 90 mm bench boards (profile SHP), and 108 mm bench front boards. The sauna also features a hidden heater, which brings added safety and a sophisticated, clean look to the design.
